The Grantmaking School of the Johnson Center for Philanthropy offers the first national university-based program for teaching the techniques and ethics of advanced grantmaking specifically to foundation grantmaking professionals. We craft our curriculum to meet the practical needs of experienced grantmakers on topics such as strategic grantmaking, due diligence, ethics and accountability.

Our courses are designed to advance the impact foundation's have across the country.  We do this by addressing the complex work of foundation grantmaking professionals who are central to foundation effectiveness. Grantmakers play a pivotal role in assessing needs, analyzing solutions and improving lives within the communities they serve. Advanced education equips them to maximize the impact of their grantmaking in the face of increasingly complex and seemingly intractable social problems.
